Wander• was founded in 2026 by industry veterans who had spent decades watching the tools of filmmaking evolve, and recognised generative AI not as a disruption to manage, but as the most significant creative expansion the moving image has seen since digital compositing replaced the optical printer.
We built Wander• around that conviction. Generative technology democratises creative possibility, compresses the distance between idea and image, and enables work that simply wasn't achievable before. Our role is to put that capability in service of professional storytelling: Film, HETV, and commercial production, held to the same delivery standards that built our pedigree.
Senior artists own their shots. Pipeline and creative live in the same room. The proportion of generative versus traditional VFX is something we figure out together, brief by brief.
Led by veterans with combined decades at ILM, Framestore, DNEG, Hydraulx, and the BBC, spanning senior VFX artistry, Nuke pipeline development, multi-national production management, and broadcast journalism. Every project is signed off at founder level.
The Northern Ireland production cluster (Titanic Studios, Studio Ulster, NI Screen, four LED volumes within twenty miles) is a thriving production ecosystem. We chose to be in it, not adjacent to it.
For producers, Belfast makes practical sense. Northern Ireland Screen funding and the UK Independent Film Tax Credit represent a meaningful budget lever for qualifying productions. Studio and post costs run significantly below London and other major UK production centres without any reduction in delivery standard or crew quality.
The talent pool is deeper than most commissioners expect. More than a decade of major international production has built a local crew base with genuine feature and HETV credits: experienced, not emerging. That extends beyond the screen into a creative community that is quietly producing some of the most interesting generative and digital art work in these islands.
